The project “Kill the Barbies, the Art of Killing Stereotypes” is a criticism of the objectification of women.

Born from the idea of breaking with the canons of beauty that society make us follow, and imposes especially on the female sex, through different means of communication.

Where is the woman of today going?

We want to claim our right not to comply with the norm, not enter the “suit” and feel full. Although there are brands such as Dove, Evax and Desigual that start doing campaigns promoting diversity, most of them continue to imprison us in beauty prototypes.

Advertising updates the canons to the new trend of “instamonguers” that go from feminists, like #dulceida by Tezenis insulting our intelligence selling us size 34-36, or the TV campaign of Woman’s Secret of this summer 2018 whose slogan raises the deep question “Bikini or Swimsuit?” that stars in an old fashioned “Barbie”, embedded in our subconscious of girls. ¿¡For how long will we have to look like Barbies!?

¿Is there life after Barbie? Yes there is!!!

Mr. & Mrs. that perpetuate the stereotypes, we have grown, we are autonomous women and head-thinkers that we want to live the summer in peace with our body-mind.

Let’s kill the Barbies!

Please propose campaigns that do not attempt against our self-esteem with constructive type dilemmas as ¿Book or e-Book? or fresh ones like:

Women of today goes where and how she wants killing stereotypes.

¡Follow yourself,  Kill the Barbies!
